Here at the Glen Iris Veterinary clinic we pride ourselves on providing the highest standards of veterinary care. The health and wellbeing of the pets in our community is our number one priority and we always try to make sure that you as an owner feel informed and supported when making decisions about your pets healthcare.

We believe that veterinary care is not just about putting fires out when your pet gets sick, but about preventing them from happening in the first place. For this reason we have a number of preventative health programs such as Vaccination for Life and the Health Club both of which are designed to make it easier and more affordable to provide the highest standards of veterinary care for your pet.
Although these programs help keep your pet happy and healthy, they unfortunately do not cover the costs of veterinary treatment if your pet does get sick. For this reason, we strongly encourage all pet owners to take out pet insurance which provides you with the peace of mind that your pets healthcare costs will be covered if they do become unwell.
We believe that all pets deserve to be happy and healthy. We also believe in supporting our community. For this reason, staff at the Glen Iris Veterinary Clinic have established a non for profit charity called Best Mates. This charity works with the Salvation Army Crisis Centre and Sacred Heart Mission to provide free veterinary care and temporary boarding of cats for people who are struggling in life. We are very proud of the work we do with this charity. If you would like to help or donate to this cause please click here.
Our clinic invests heavily in ongoing training for our vets and nurses and we believe this means that we can provide you with the most up to date information and treatment options for your pets healthcare situation. It also means that if they do need to be hospitalised, they get the best possible care and attention. We have also invested in good equipment - for blood tests, ultrasound, x-rays and more recently - to be able to perform keyhole surgery. We are one of only a few clinics in the state that can perform keyhole surgery, including keyhole female desexings (spey) procedures. For more information on the Keyhole Spey, please click here.
There's a lot more we could say about our clinic but the most important thing to mention is that all our staff have been selected with one primary characteristic in mind - they all love animals and are devoted to improving the lives of any animals in their care. It is with this knowledge that you should feel confident that when you bring your animals to us, we will give them the very best in veterinary care.
